AI can make LinkedIn outreach easier, but it should not make it lazy.

Used well, AI can help you research the right people, draft better connection requests, organise your approach and stay consistent. That can be useful if you are trying to grow your network but keep putting it off because it feels time-consuming.

I would be careful about using AI to send generic messages at scale. Most people can spot a lazy connection request straight away, and it can do more harm than good if your outreach feels automated or irrelevant.

For me, the best use of AI is to support the human part of networking, not replace it. You still need to think about who you are connecting with, why they might be relevant and what kind of relationship you are trying to build.

A good LinkedIn connection strategy should feel considered, not spammy. It is better to connect with fewer relevant people and start better conversations than to chase numbers for the sake of it.
